Starting situation
Financial advisory work is weighed down by administrative burden, complex compliance requirements and the need for deep, personalized client understanding. The client needed to cut the time spent on report generation and CRM updates, keep generated documents accurate and personalized based on actual conversation content, operate within strict financial regulation and data privacy standards while minimizing AI hallucinations, integrate cleanly with the tools advisors already use, handle industry-specific terminology, and scale reliably as the business grew.
What we advised
We recommended training the assistant on the specific language and context of financial advice rather than deploying a general-purpose model, and grounding every generated output in traceable source material so that compliance teams could verify it.
What we built or changed
We designed and built the AI Assist / AI Agent component as an extension of the client's in-house capability. It generates accurate meeting transcriptions through audio-to-text and integrates with the advisor's calendar; it populates documents automatically from conversation transcripts using highly customizable templates, with multiple discussion topics, per-topic templates and reports generated in first or third person; and a meeting briefing feature gives advisors concise summaries of past client interactions with links back to the original notes to prevent hallucination.
Architecture, data and integration
React on the front end, Node.js, AWS Lambda and DynamoDB on the back end, hosted on AWS. Core AI capability powered by ChatGPT, with OpenAI Whisper for audio-to-text transcription. The platform integrates with MS Teams, Google Meet and Zoom.
